
HI-PAL Youth Car Show

Hawai‘i Police Department’s South Kohala Community Policing Section invites youth and their families to the department’s first-ever Youth Car Show on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Waikoloa Plaza Shopping Center, 68-1820 Waikoloa Road, Waikoloa. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with check in from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Open to youth 17 years of age and younger, this free, family-friendly event promotes responsibility, safety, and pride in automotive interests. The event is limited to the first 50 registered vehicles, and all participants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the event.
To participate, vehicles must be street legal, with valid registration and safety inspection, unless trailered in. Only licensed drivers may operate vehicles on public roadways. No revving, burnouts, or unsafe vehicle operation will be tolerated, and respectful behavior is expected at all times.
Interested youth may register by scanning the event QR code, picking up a registration form at the South Kohala Police Station, or by emailing Officer Edward Lewis at edward.lewis@hawaiicounty.gov. Required forms include a Youth Car Show Waiver of Liability and a HI-PAL Liability Waiver, both of which must be signed and submitted prior to the event.
