Loa’s bail has been set at $241,100.

28-year-old Kennedy Miyasato, of Hilo, was charged with first-degree hindering prosecution and her bail was set at $10,000.

Lolohea and Miyasato are both scheduled to make their initial court appearance this afternoon, September 26, in Hilo District Court.

The charges against Lolohea stem from an incident reported on September 17, 2025, where he was reportedly involved in an altercation with a 38-year-old man on 29th Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Lolohea reportedly retrieved a firearm from under the seat of the vehicle he was operating, threatened the man and discharged the firearm numerous times. There were no reported injuries.

Miyasato is alleged to have rendered assistance to Lolohea while police were attempting to locate him, thereby hindering his apprehension by police.

The search warrant was executed on Wednesday morning by the department’s Special Response Team, along with personnel from the Area I Criminal Investigation Division and the Vice Section.

During the course of this investigation, police recovered two vehicles Lolohea and Miyasato operated and were involved in the offenses.
