(Update) Hilo HI-PAL Second Annual Kawamoto Classic Swimming Event Cancelled

Hawai‘i Island police announce that the planned second annual Kawamoto Classic Swimming Event scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Charles “Sparky” Kawamoto Swim Stadium, 260 Kalanikoa St. in Hilo has been cancelled due to the impending storm. Officials will determine at a later date if the event will be rescheduled.
