Public Invited to Seven Coffee With a Cop Events in West Hawai‘i During July

As part of their ongoing community outreach to listen to community members, Hawai‘i Police Department is holding seven Coffee With a Cop events in west Hawai‘i from Keauhou to Kapaʻau during July in order for the public can get to know their district police officers.

These popular events are intentionally informal with no agenda. Topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.

Stop by and get to know your district and Community Policing Officers over a cup of coffee!

During the July 25 event at Clover & Mug in the Keauhou Shopping Center, parents and children can also receive a free Keiki ID.

The Area II Community Policing Coffee with a Cop events will take place on the following dates:

• Wednesday, July 9,from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Kona Heaven Coffee, in the Coconut Grove Shopping Center, 75-5805 Ali‘i Drive, Kailua-Kona.
  
• Friday, July 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Kona Mountain Coffee Co., 73-4038 Hulikoa Drive, Kailua-Kona.
  
• Wednesday, July 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Uncle Kimo’s Coffee Shop, next to the Hōlualoa Garden & Kitchen Restaurant, 76-5897 Kona Belt Road, Hōlualoa.

• Thursday, July 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Starbucks, Parker Ranch Center, 67-1185 Māmalahoa Highway, Waimea.

• Friday, July 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Kona Coffee & Tea, in the Kona Coast Shopping Center, 74-5588 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona.

• Monday, July 21, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Kohala Rainbow Cafe, 54-3615 Akoni Pule Highway, Kapaʻau.

• Friday, July 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Clover & Mug in the Keauhou Shopping Center, 78-6831 Ali‘i Drive, Kailua-Kona.
