Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an ongoing assault investigation stemming from an incident that took place on April 27, 2025, in Hilo.

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an ongoing assault investigation stemming from an incident that took place on April 27, 2025, in Hilo.

The image shown was captured from surveillance footage at a business in the 100 block of Puainako Street.

The individual is described as a Caucasian man in his 20s to 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, with short blond hair and possibly unshaven.
