Police Seeking Missing and Endangered Person Elizabeth Stearns

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 59-year-old Elizabeth Stearns, who was reported missing.

Stearns was last contacted on the morning of Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Hilo, and is considered endangered as she may need medication and medical assistance.

Stearns is Caucasian, 5 feet and 7 inches tall, 148 pounds, with a shaved head. She was last seen in Hilo wearing a faded blue-collar sweater, gray joggers, with white slippers and a backpack.
