Police Seeking Identify of Theft Suspect

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with unauthorized ATM withdrawals in the Hilo area.

Police are investigating a series of unauthorized withdrawals using the same victim’s card at multiple ATMs, including a bank on Waiānuenue Avenue in Hilo on August 29, 2024, between 3:00 a.m. and 4 a.m. The suspect is believed to be a local male, late 40s to early 50s, between 5 feet 6 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing between 160–220 pounds.
