Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Pāpa‘ikou Road Rage Incident

Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a reported road rage incident that occurred on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the area of the Onomea Scenic Route in Pāpa‘ikou.

Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a reported road rage incident that occurred on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the area of the Onomea Scenic Route in Pāpa‘ikou.

A 60-year-old male visitor reported that while traveling on Hawai‘i Belt Road, he pulled over to allow another vehicle to pass. The suspect reportedly stopped behind the victim’s vehicle, approached, and struck the man four times through an open window.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s to early 30s. There is no description available for the suspect vehicle.
