Pāhoa Man Arrested For Terroristic Threatening Incident In Puna Friday Night

Hawai‘i Island police arrested 40-year-old George Foote of Pāhoa as part of their investigation into a terroristic threatening incident that occurred Friday evening, Dec. 19, 2025, on Aama Street in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision in Pāhoa. Foote reportedly entered a residence and threatened to burn down the structure. Police and members of the Hawai‘i Police Department’s Special Response Team responded to the scene and apprehended Foote without incident.

Foote is currently being held at the Hilo Police Cellblock as detectives from the Area 1 Criminal Investigations Division continue this investigation.
