Kona Community Policing First Annual Diaper Drive Collects More Than 6,600 Diapers

The Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Kona Community Policing Section thanks the community for its generous support of the department’s first annual Fill A Cruiser Diaper Drive, which collected 6,676 diapers, 103 packages of baby wipes and $1,955 in monetary donations. The drive was held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at the Kona Walmart.

During the event, community members came together to donate essential supplies to help families across Hawaiʻi Island. Diaper donations collected during the event will be distributed by LIV Pregnancy & Women’s Wellness to families facing financial challenges in purchasing diapers and other basic baby supplies.

The Hawaiʻi Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make the event a success. A heartfelt mahalo goes to event partners Kona Walmart and LIV Pregnancy & Women’s Wellness for their support.

The department looks forward to continuing this effort and working with community partners to help provide essential supplies to families islandwide.
