The Hawaiʻi Police Department (HPD) will be conducting a DUI roadblock on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Puainako Street, fronting Waiakea Intermediate School.

This enforcement effort is part of HPD’s ongoing commitment to reducing impaired driving and enhancing roadway safety for all residents. Impaired driving continues to occur at all hours of the day on many highly traveled roadways, posing a serious risk to the community.

In conjunction with the roadblock, HPD officers will also host a Child Safety Seat Clinic. Community members are invited to attend and have their child safety seats inspected by trained personnel to ensure proper installation and compliance with safety standards.

HPD encourages all drivers to plan ahead, drive sober, and take advantage of this opportunity to help protect young passengers.
