Police Investigating Kailua-Kona Brush Fire

Hawaiʻi Island police are investigating a brush fire that occurred Saturday afternoon, April 25, 2026, in Kailua Kona.

At approximately 1:13 p.m., Kona patrol officers responded to a report of a brush fire in the area of Hina Lani Street and Ane Keohokalole Highway in Kailua Kona. Upon arrival, officers observed a brush fire that scorched about 20,000 square feet. The Hawaiʻi Fire Department arrived to the scene and extinguished the blaze at approximately 1:51 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined, and no injuries were reported.
