HI-PAL Congratulates Participants of Hawai‘i Keiki Rodeo Association Finals Rodeo
The Hilo Community Policing Section and the Hawai‘i Police Activities League (HI-PAL) congratulates the keiki who participated in the Hawai‘i Keiki Rodeo Association Finals Rodeo held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, and Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Alvin “Al” Cabral Arena in Hilo.
Organized by the Hawai‘i Keiki Rodeo Association, the event provided youth participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, sportsmanship, and dedication in a family-oriented rodeo environment.
In addition to the rodeo events, Hawai‘i Police Department Hilo Community Policing Officers distributed swag bags and prizes to children in attendance. Officers also engaged with participants and their families, providing an opportunity for keiki and community members to interact with their local officers while enjoying the event.
HI-PAL extends its sincere appreciation to the Hawai‘i Keiki Rodeo Association, as well as the many volunteers, sponsors, and supporters whose efforts helped make the event a success.
The Hawai‘i Police Department also extends special thanks to Officers Joshua Baumgarner and Dustin Chaves, along with the many volunteers whose dedication and support contributed to the event’s success.
HI-PAL is a program of the Hawai‘i Police Department in which police officers interact with youth in various activities as mentors. This positive connection encourages teamwork, citizenship, and responsibility among youth.
