Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two persons of interest in connection with an August 2025 Ocean View burglary.

On Thursday, August 21, 2025, police responded to a report of a possible burglary at a residence in the 92-8500 block of Pineapple Parkway. Officers learned that the owner of the residence was off-island at the time. A neighbor reported the burglary after checking on the victim’s residence and discovering obvious signs of a break-in.

After being contacted by the police, the victim later returned to the residence and determined tools, home appliances, and other miscellaneous items, valued at $5,175 were allegedly removed from the residence.

Surveillance at the residence captured images of two people and a maroon-colored pick-up truck, unknown make, model, or license plate at the residence on August 19, 2025 at 11:55 a.m.

Both individuals are described as local in their 30s. One of the individuals is a male with a light tan complexion, dark colored hair, short facial hair, and a tattoo on his right arm. The second individual is heavier set with a dark complexion wearing a face covering and long-sleeved shirt.
