Public Invited to Coffee With a Cop in West Hawai‘i

As part of their ongoing community outreach to listen to community members, Hawai‘i Police Department is holding six Coffee With a Cop events in west Hawai‘i from Kailua-Kona to Kealakekua during October in order for the public can get to know their district police officers.

These popular events are intentionally informal with no agenda. Topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.

Stop by and get to know your district and Community Policing Officers over a cup of coffee!

The West Hawai‘i Community Policing Coffee with a Cop events will take place on the following dates:

  • Thursday, Oct. 16,from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Kona Heaven Coffee, in the Coconut Grove Shopping Center, 75-5805 Ali‘i Drive, Kailua-Kona.
  • Friday, Oct. 17,from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Kona Mountain Coffee Co., 73-4038 Hulikoa Drive, Kailua-Kona.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Gypsea Gelato, 79-7491 Hawaii Belt Rd. Kealakekua.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Uncle Kimo’s Coffee Shop, next to the Hōlualoa Garden & Kitchen Restaurant, 76-5897 Kona Belt Road, Hōlualoa.
  • Friday, Oct. 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Kona Coffee & Tea, in the Kona Coast Shopping Center, 74-5588 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Caffe Florian, 81-6637 Māmalahoa Highway, Kealakekua.
