Ice Cream With a Cop

Hawai‘i Police Department’s South Kohala Community Policing Section invites the public to “Ice Cream With a Cop” on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Aloha Keiki Provision Café, 64-1056 Māmalahoa Highway, in Waimea. Attendees will receive a complimentary sample scoop of ice cream while talking story with officers.

The event is a cool twist on the popular “Coffee With a Cop” program, giving community members the chance to sit down with officers, ask questions, share concerns, and build stronger connections in an informal setting.

In Hawai‘i, “talking story” is a meaningful way of sharing ideas and building relationships. Events like these reflect the department’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and open communication.

The Hawaii Police Department is committed to community engagement, and we look forward to sharing a scoop or two with you. For any further questions or inquiries about the event, please contact our South Kohala Community Police Officers at (808) 887-3080.
