Police Seeking Missing Hilo Woman Vernamae Stevens

Hawai‘i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 60-year-old Vernamae Stevens of Hilo, who was reported missing.

Stevens was last contacted on Saturday morning, July 12, 2025 at 8:00 a.m., in Hilo, and is considered endangered as she may need medication and medical assistance.

Stevens is Hawaiian, with a medium complexion, 4 feet and 9 inches tall, 130 pounds, with grey, shoulder-length hair, with floral tattoos on both arms. She was last seen wearing a red, yellow, green, and black spaghetti strapped dress with palm tree patterns.
