Police Seeking Missing Woman Sema Sekendur

Hawai’i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 50-year-old Sema Banu Sekendur of no permanent address, in Hilo. She was reported missing on February 25, 2025, last seen in July of 2024 in Downtown Hilo.

Sekendur is described as a South-Asian female, 5’2” in height, 104 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, and a dark complexion. It is unknown what she was last seen wearing.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
